[Azumino Takahashi Setsuro Memorial Museum] Easy Chinkin (gold inlay) experience
This special art program allows you to admire the works of a master of contemporary lacquer art and experience the beautiful traditional technique of "Chinkin" (gold inlay) yourself.
This art program allows you to admire the original and beautiful works of Setsuro Takahashi, a master of contemporary lacquer art and recipient of the Order of Culture, within the museum, and then experience some of his techniques firsthand. You will experience "chinkin," a technique where you carve patterns into a miniature shikishi-sized lacquer board and embed gold powder. Since a solvent that does not cause allergic reactions is used, it is safe for young children and people with sensitive skin. Designs are also provided for beginners, so anyone can easily experience genuine art. You can take your completed work home with you on the same day.
