ICONIA HOSPITALITY 's first large-scale gourmet event, the "National Taste Tour Festival 2025," brings together 33 hotels from Hokkaido to Okinawa. With approximately 80 kinds of local gourmet foods and sake on display, the venue is truly a "food festival"!

The venues are the atrium plaza and Restaurant "Salas Cafe & Brasserie".
Over the two days, a staggering 6,000 customers visited, transforming Bentencho into a bustling "food theme park."
The rising steam and the savory aroma of freshly baked food filled the air. At each venue, chefs and cooks from various regions offered a variety of dishes devised to showcase the unique characteristics of their local areas.


We've received many comments from customers saying things like, "The portions were generous and everything was delicious!" and "I enjoyed chatting with the chefs!"
Some visitors were repeat customers who said they came back on the second day because they wanted to try other dishes, while others stayed for a long time to fully enjoy the event. Although it was rainy on the second day, the covered plaza was filled with smiles.

We've taken the exceptionally fresh raw tuna, which is normally only available locally, and enhanced it further with the meticulous preparation and techniques unique to our hotel. This is a truly special dish that allows you to fully enjoy the different flavors of each part of the tuna.

This luxurious rice bowl allows you to enjoy both fragrant grilled eel and plain grilled eel, which lets you savor the pure flavor of the ingredients, all at once.
The aroma extracted over charcoal, the way the sauce is applied, and the precise adjustment of the grilling time—the craftsman's skill shines through in every detail. It was a highly satisfying dish that brought out the true flavor of the eel to the fullest.
The message behind "delicious"
What all the dishes had in common was the chefs' desire to make the taste of a hotel more accessible to everyone.
Even dishes that are usually only available at Restaurant were made easily accessible for these two days, with meticulous attention paid to everything from ingredient selection to presentation.
Many attendees at the venue commented, "I want to try this flavor in its place of origin someday!", and there were moments when the food inspired people to plan their next trip.
This event truly fostered new encounters and experiences connected through food.
The character "Funyaran" from Kamei Hotel will also make an appearance!

On the second day, the "Iconia Grand Rock-Paper-Scissors Tournament" was held, with the cry of "Iconia!" echoing throughout the venue. The winner received luxurious prizes, including a hotel stay voucher!

The next stage is a "cooking contest"!
The culinary fervor generated at the festival will continue into the finals of the "ICONIA Culinary Contest 2025" in December.
This year, 416 entrants from 101 hotels in 6 areas throughout Japan entered the contest.
A total of 18 finalists, six from each of the three categories, will gather at Atami and Hotel New Akao in Shizuoka to compete for the "ICONIA No. 1 dish.
In addition, 60 GoTo Pass members will participate as special judges. This will be a rare opportunity to experience the live and serious competition up close and personal. (*The application period has been closed.)
This contest is said to be a narrow gate just to advance to the finals.
